On the Issues

Vote-by-Mail Campaign
As a member of the DCCC, Emily would advocate for a strong, multilingual vote-by-mail campaign that would target Democratic voters in areas of the city that historically have had low turnout on Election Day. Studies suggest that people who receive their ballots early by registering as "permanent absentee" voters are more likely to participate in an election.

Sound Endorsements
With a high percentage of San Franciscans registered as Democrats, hundreds of thousands of people look to the endorsements of the San Francisco Democratic Party for guidance before they vote. The endorsement process is one of the DCCC's top responsibilities. Emily will work hard to ensure that issues and candidates that reflect our San Francisco values - such as fairness, compassion, and sustainability - receive support, while those that oppose the city's forward-thinking politics are marked for defeat.

Policy Issues
Emily would like to see the DCCC weigh in on more policies under consideration at City Hall. This would give the Democratic Party more of a voice on the issues that affect San Franciscans' daily lives.

Diverse Representation
Emily is committed to increasing representation for women, LGBT people, young people, people with disabilities, and others on the 12th AD DCCC.
